Stu and I have noticed a new trend of Delia's over the last couple of weeks. Nearly every night (and morning), Delia will tell us that she does not want to go to school.
"Why?" I ask.
"Because I hate school," she says.
My first reaction is to tell her she does not hate school, but instead I ask, "Why do you hate school?"
"Because Hannah is being mean to me," Delia replies.
And my heart breaks to hear these words.
What do I say? What do I do?
For now I tell Delia that I am sure that she is sad but that she has plenty of other friends who are nice to her. Unfortunately, Delia considers Hannah to be her best friend at daycare, and D is a fairly sensitive little girl to top it off.
I feel so badly for my sweet Delia. I didn't think we'd have to deal with this type of issue until she started elementary school, but here we are. *sighs*
We had this same talk last night. Let's hope today was a good day.

Oh, how heart breaking! Hopefully it will work itself out in a few days since they are so young. It makes ME want to give Delia a hug!
Talk to the teachers too
Aw poor thing. Its so hard that they have these issues so young. I would definitely talk to her teachers, maybe they can help direct her to other children and make friends with other children. Awwww....and now I want to give her a hug too!!
Oh no, that is the worst thing about parenting, just some things we can't control, Poor Delia, she's such a sweet thing, I hope it all works out for her.
BTW: Love the new look!!
I want to beat up Hannah.
